Yes. Community is the full local-first IDE and works on its own. Cloud is the optional managed layer — never a paywall on core IDE features.

Does Cloud need direct database exposure?

No. Credentials and database connections stay local in your desktop install. Cloud powers AI features and shared sandboxes — extracts are encrypted client-side before they leave your machine.

Can we adopt in phases?
